The US Government is struggling to manage events after the rapture.
LOST: It Begins is the first in a series of Christian novels detailing events immediately after the rapture. The story revolves around the struggles of a small group of teenagers and children left in the wilderness when their Sunday school teacher vanishes during a camping trip. Total turmoil sweeps the Earth in the wake of the mass disappearance of millions of Christians. Ships sink, unmanned aircraft plunge out of the sky, trains missing engineers grind to a halt and numerous traffic accidents fill the world's highways and roads. Fear and confusion prevail over those left behind as local authorities offer sporadic assistance and conflicting information. Soon ominous changes take place in the government as certain people begin to be villified and are eventually hunted down.
